Goal

Have a comprehensive system that guides, teaches, and rewards new players during their initial hours in the game. The system will help them learn the basics, set clear objectives, and provide rewards to keep them engaged while it prepares them for PVP matches.

Possible features

  1. In-depth tutorial and reward system
    1. Each completed tutorial will be rewarded to encourage players to progress through it
  2. AI matches with difficulty levels like described here
  3. Guided missions for new players

    1. Instead of forcing new players to go through all the tutorials and AI matches, the game will implement "missions" that provide a guided experience and encourage them to play the tutorial and AI matches.

    2. The missions will have marked objectives that players must accomplish, and upon completion, they will receive rewards.

    3. These rewards should be clearly displayed on the main page to incentivise participation. (it can be icons, emotes, a bit of plat to buy 1 basic skin (600), and any small reward like this) Graphical representation idea:

    4. Going through all the tutorials and all the AI matches will be rewarded with one high value reward like a rare skin

    5. Advanced Objective for Experienced Players (to skip tutorial)

      1. This objective could involve winning a PvE game on a challenging difficulty level (e.g., hard)
      2. The difficulty level should be demanding enough to pose a challenge, necessitating a good grasp of game mechanics and strategies
      3. This also would be a good tool to detect smurfs/players with previous experience in MOBA. Having someone that immediately goes to the advanced tutorial, completes it with ease, and then goes to PVP and stomps their games, would male it obvious that the person is an advanced player and could should not be matched with new players
  4. Unlocking PvP
    1. To unlock the PvP mode, players must complete the guided training, which includes finishing all tutorials and playing a set number of PvE games (e.g., 10 PvE games)
    2. This ensures that players are adequately prepared before entering competitive matches
